Pepper and Gary Thorp

Pepper and owner/handler Gary Thorp began training with Cheryl Miller of Academy Four Paws in Cornville, AZ in April 2003.

Pepper was four months old and had received her second set of vaccinations. After completing three months of puppy training they decided to begin competitive training.

2003 - Pepper was awarded the AKC (American Kennel Club) Canine Good Citizen® Award.

2004 - Pepper earned her Companion Dog (CD) title from the AKC. She was listed by FRONT&finish® (Dog Trainers News magazine) as the number one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in Obedience Novice A and made the Top Ten of the Toy Group.

2005 – Pepper earned her Companion Dog (CD) title from the Australian Shepard Club of America (ASCA). Pepper earned her Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) title from AKC. She was listed by FRONT&finish® as the number one CKCS in Obedience Open A (tie) and made the Top Ten of the Toy Group.

2006 – Pepper earned her Utility Dog title from the AKC. She received the FFX-OG Excellence award from FRONT&finish® for completing all three obedience titles in less than 24 months. The Cavalier King Charles Club of Central Arizona listed Pepper and Gary in their Hall of Fame. Pepper completed the 3 obedience titles with top placements in all qualifying legs. Six First Places, two Second Places and one Third Place.
